Got to the beach just see Al looking a bit miffed as in the rush to rig up ripped the downhaul pulley off his sail
Rigged up 5.8 and got out on the water where there just didn't seem to be much wind, allong with the dead onshore wind and white water I had a bit of a mare.
I got going a couple of times but had really trouble with the waves ripping the board out from under my feet.
I found a lot of the time I wasn't quick enough to get up on the board before the next wave hit me and put me in all sort of problems.
The wind dropped off a bit and the waves got bigger as the tide came in so decided to give it a rest til the tide started going back out.
As the tide started going out so did the wind :(
Rigged 7m sail and had a try but there just wasn't any wind on the water it felt windy on the beach but on the water there was nothing.
My Brother came down for a couple of hours so we had a bit of a bbq on the beach for a while
In the afternoon gave it another go I got a bit of a gust and and a fantastic blast through the shore break and white water jumping (not always in control) about three quaters of the way down to the estuary then I managed to gybe down the face of a wave woohooo this is great I thought.
Getting back to the golfcouse was a nightmare just couldn't get planning was a slog off the plane though all the waves and white water just really trying to pinch upwind
I didn't have to walk back though like most of the kiters that had gone down towards the estuary mouth.
Had a little go with my 5 m foil in the afternoon was nice bit of power in it and had some good slides down the beach.
My brother was saying how things have to have engines to have any fun so I put the safely leash things on the handles for my kite and let him have a go!
He wasn't expecting the pull on the kite sat on his ass and had a nice ass slide along the beach before dropping the kite in a nice puddle.
Had a couple more goes on the kite but it was just a bit too wet when I did get it flying i could see water sloshing about in the kite not the best condition for a kite to be flying so left it to dry in the sun
